Happily married for over 30 years and got four kids who somehow think they are adults... but I know I'm not old enough to be the parent of an adult, but I also know I was there at the births... says a lot about me does that :-)
All my adult life has been dedicated to the welfare of children and ensuring they get the best service possible from
me and the professional groups that are supposed to represent them...I hope between all the adults we did a good job,
but at the same time just know some kids got sold short by the system.
I adore my family. My husband, kids and grandchildren are the most important thing in life to me.
I love writing as well and have written some poetry that I have never been 'brave' enough to even think about having published... but my first novel... well, that's different because it's a story that needs to be told and I've known that for many years, it's just taken me a long time to get round to doing something about it. You see, I believe the criminal justice system in our country can be so very wrong... how can a group of grownups decide if a child has or has not been 'harmed enough' to warrant a payout?
And what do the courts make of multiple abuses?
Well, it appears sometimes that doesn't count... but it does to me. So I guess the biggest thing to know about me is that I care passionately about kids and the importance of a childhood... happily I'm still living mine even though I'm fortunate enough to be grandmother.
